Golf del Sur hosted today the official presentation of the “Christmas Tournament – Costa San Miguel 2025”, a new sporting and social event that will take place next Saturday, December 13, and which is born with the vocation to consolidate itself as an annual event of reference in the golfing calendar of the south of Tenerife.
The press conference was attended by Mr. Arturo E. González Hernández, Mayor of San Miguel de Abona; Ms. Laura Remedios Paiz Acosta, Councilor for Tourism; Ms. Maca Rodríguez Hernández, Director/Manager of Golf del Sur; and Mr. José María Sans Díaz, Commercial and Marketing Director of Golf del Sur. They all highlighted the festive, experiential, and accessible nature of the tournament, as well as its contribution to promoting the sport and positioning the municipality as a high-quality golf destination. Sponsors and collaborators were also thanked for their support of the tournament.

The organizers have confirmed that the tournament is at full capacity, demonstrating the high level of interest. The tournament will be played in Individual Stableford format, with a shotgun start and a full 18-hole course from the yellow tees, approximately 5,700 meters long. The course will be set up to offer a competitive, dynamic, and festive sporting experience.
Participants will be able to enjoy not only the game, but also a welcome pack and welcome breakfast at the official Costa San Miguel stand; background music and special activities; partner stations spread throughout the course with refreshments and entertainment; special challenges such as the longest drive or the ball closest to the hole; a cocktail reception, awards ceremony and final raffle; as well as a Christmas toast to end the day.
The “Costa San Miguel Christmas Tournament” is presented as an event with its own identity, in which sport, landscape and tradition come together to close the year celebrating the essence of southern Tenerife.
